A YEARLY STUDY OF SALVATION -FOREKNOWLEDGE

stack of books

In the book, God’s Plan for Man by Finis Jennings Dake salvation is characterized by mainly addressing sixty areas. I will attempt to discuss each of these areas. These areas were listed on this blog post on October 13, 2021. Today, I would like to discuss #52 Foreknowledge.

Foreknowledge is a change of revelation, a new knowledge in God.

The following are some scripture verses associated with Foreknowledge:

Roman 8:29    For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his born among many brethren.

Romans 11:2   God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? How he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying

Acts 2:23   Him being by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

1 Peter 1:2   Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace be multiplied.

Ephesians 1: 4, 5    According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will. (foreordained)

Matthew 11:25   At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

Deut. 29:29   The secret things belong unto the LORD our God but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

Is. 42:9    Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

Is. 45:11    Thus saith the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and his maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.

Is. 46:10    Declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.

Is. 48:3      I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I shewed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass.

Is. 48:5   I have even from the beginning declared it to thee; before it came to pass I shewed it thee: lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them; and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them.

CONCLUSION

Foreknowledge is a change of revelation, a new knowledge in God. The Lord has proven that He knows everything that will happen before it does.

Are you comfortable that God knows your future?
