A YEARLY STUDY OF SALVATION- FAITH

woman confident inspiration

In the book, God’s Plan for Man by Finis Jennings Dake salvation is characterized by mainly addressing sixty areas. I will attempt to discuss each of these areas. These areas were listed on this blog post on October 13, 2021. Today, I would like to discuss #12 Faith.

Faith is a change of confidence, a new trust in God.

Some of the associated scriptures are as follows:

Mark 9:23    Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him, that believeth.

Mark 11:22-24   And Jesus answering saith unto them, have faith in God. That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say to you, What things soever ye desire when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Romans 1:16, 17    For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written. The just shall live by faith.

Roman 4:5   But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness.

Romans 4: 19, 20   And being not weak I faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about a hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb.

Romans 10:9-10    That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved.

Romans 10:13    For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Romans 10:17    So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Hebrews 11:1    Now faith is the substance (assurance) of things hoped for, the evidence (conviction) of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:6    But without faith, it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Hebrew 12:1, 2   Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising (scorning) the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

2 Peter 1:5   And besides this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

CONCLUSION

Faith is a change of confidence, a new trust in God. It is the assurance of things hoped for and the conviction of things not seen. And without faith, it is impossible to please God. One must consider God a vital necessity in his or her life. And one must trust God and not doubt His ability to do anything and everything.

Do you trust God and not put your confidence in man? When you pray, do you see yourself where you want to be?  Feel free to comment below.
