A YEARLY STUDY OF SALVATION- LOVE

silver heart love

In the book, God’s Plan for Man by Finis Jennings Dake salvation is characterized by mainly addressing sixty areas. I will attempt to discuss each of these areas. These areas were listed on this blog post on October 13, 2021. Today, I would like to discuss #31 Love.

Love is a change of affection, a new devotion to God.

The following are some scripture verses associated with Love:

Deut. 6:5    And thy shalt love the LORD thy God, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Matthew 22:37   Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Romans 5: 5, 8   And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. But God commendeth his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

John 13: 34, 35   A new commandment I give unto you. That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples if ye have love one to another.

John 3:16    For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Galatians 5:22, 23    But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
