A YEARLY STUDY OF SALVATION- REDEMPTION

In the book, God’s Plan for Man by Finis Jennings Dake salvation is characterized by mainly addressing sixty areas. I will attempt to discuss each of these areas. These areas were listed on this blog post on October 13, 2021. Today, I would like to discuss #6 Redemption.

Redemption is a change of owners, a new master in God.

Some of the associated scriptures are as follows:

 Romans 3:24,25    Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation (substitute) through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission (forgiveness) of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

1 Cor. 1:30  But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption;

1 Cor. 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

1 Cor. 6:19, 20   What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price; therefore, glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Gal. 3:13      Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.

Ephesians 1:7   In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.

Col. 1:22      In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight.

1 Peter 1:18, 19   Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

CONCLUSION

Redemption is a change of owners, a new master in God. With his precious blood, Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law. Because of this, we were bought with a price and we are not our own.

Have you acknowledged that God is a better master than your former one? Do you really appreciate the price Christ paid for your sins?
