In the book, God’s Plan for Man by Finis Jennings Dake salvation is characterized by mainly addressing sixty areas. I will attempt to discuss each of these areas. These areas were listed on this blog post on October 13, 2021. Today, I would like to discuss #45 Sanctification

Sanctification is a change of service, a new separation unto God.

The following are some scripture verses associated with Sanctification:

John 10: 36   Say ye of him, whom the Lord hath sanctified, and sent into the world. Thou blasphemist; because I said, I am the Son of God?

1 Cor. 6:11   And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

2 Tim. 2:21   If a man therefore purges himself from these, he shall be a vessel of honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared u to every good work.

Ex. 13:1,2 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Sanctify (dedicate) unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine.

Ex. 40:10, 11   And thou shalt anoint the altar of the burnt offering, and all his vessels, and sanctify the altar: and it shall be an altar most holy. And thou shalt anoint the laver and his foot, and sanctify it.

Lev. 27: 14-16    And when a man shall sanctify his house to be holy unto the LORD, then the priest shall estimate it, whether it be good or bad; as the priest shall estimate it, so shall it stand. And if he that sanctified it will redeem (buy back) his house, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy estimation unto it, and it shall be his. And if a man shall sanctify unto the LORD some part of a field of his possession, then thy estimation shall be according to the seed thereof; a homer of barley seed shall be valued at fifty shekels of silver.

Jer. 1:5    Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

CONCLUSION

Sanctification is a change of service, a new separation unto God. To sanctify is to make holy, and God does this to make vessels who will accomplish His will according to his purpose. It is in His will that we be sanctified.
