A YEARLY STUDY OF SALVATION – REGENERATION

In the book, God’s Plan for Man by Finis Jennings Dake salvation is characterized by mainly addressing sixty areas. I will attempt to discuss each of these areas. These areas were listed on this blog post on October 13, 2020. Today, I would like to discuss #3 Regeneration.

Regeneration is a change of nature and is in two main categories:

  • Blessedness of the New Life- The indwelling of the Holy Spirt

Some of the associated scriptures are as follows:

Luke 17:20 &21—And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, the kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or lo there! For, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

1 Cor. 12:6  And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Matthew 10:20   For it is not ye that speak, but the spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

Ephesians 5:9   For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth.

  • The Duties and Graces of the New Life—Love to God and Man

Some of the associated scripture is as follows:

1 Cor. 13:4  Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up.

V5 Does not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

V6  Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth.

V7     Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

V8     Charity never faileth; but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

V9     For we know in part, and prophesy in part.

V10   But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

V11   When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child, but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

V13    And now, abideth faith, hope, and charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

2 John 6       And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye shall walk in it.

CONCLUSION

Regeneration is a change of nature. Once you become born again in the Spirit, you are controlled by the Spirit which reflects the divine nature that you have. And if you tap into that nature you can do anything because you are in Christ and Christ is in you. As a person in the Godhead, Christ is love, and there no greater power than love. Recognizing and acknowledging who you are in Christ is the best thing you could ever do for yourself.

Do you know who you are in Christ and the power it brings?
