In the book, God’s Plan for Man by Finis Jennings Dake salvation is characterized by mainly addressing sixty areas. I will attempt to discuss each of these areas. These areas were listed on this blog post on October 13, 2020. Today, I would like to discuss #2 Conversion.
Conversion is a change of direction and having a new walk with God. A good example of conversion is of the Apostle Paul. In Acts 22 Paul was formerly called Saul and a well- learned Jew who was zealous toward God. He also persecuted Christians. Then one day on his way to Damascus he experienced a bright light from which Christ asked him why was he persecuting Him. He was blinded for a few days and when he finally opened his eyes he was a changed man. [Acts 22:1-14] He was later given instructions by God to go and preach to the Gentiles. [Acts 22: 15,16,21 and 26:16-18] In the end the Apostle Paul will have traveled more than any other Apostle and would have written more books in the Bible than any other Apostle.
There were other types of conversion.
Conversion of the Gentiles-Psalm 2:8-10
Conversion of particular nations- Isaiah 19:18-25
Conversion of Jews of the world- Romans 9:1-3, 10; Rom 11:9-15, 23,24.
Conversion of the Persecutor-Acts 9:21; Gal. 1:23, 24
CONCLUSION
Conversion is changing Masters and beginning a new walk with God. You are transformed by the renewing of your mind after you have repented and have been convicted by the Holy Spirit. God the Father changes you so you can accomplish His will according to His purpose.
