In the book, God’s Plan for Man by Finis Jennings Dake salvation is characterized by mainly addressing sixty areas. I will attempt to discuss each of these areas. These areas were listed on this blog post on October 13, 2021. Today, I would like to discuss #53 Foreordination.

Foreordination is a change of appointment, a new future in God.

The following are some scripture verses associated with Foreordination:

Romans 3:25    Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation (substitution) through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission (forgiveness) of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God.

John 15:16    Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

1 Thess. 5:9    For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 1:20    Who verily was Foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you.

Eph. 1:10     That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him.

Eph. 2:7    That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness towards us through Jesus Christ.

Eph. 3:10,11    To the intent that now unto the principalities and power in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, according to the eternal purpose which he purposed (planned) in Christ Jesus our Lord.

CONCLUSION

Foreordination is a change of appointment, a new future in God. What God has foreordained before the foundation of the earth has been manifest for you in these last times. He has shown us the riches of his grace through our Lord Jesus Christ.
