A YEARLY STUDY OF SALVATION -PRESERVATION

man reading book in field

In the book, God’s Plan for Man by Finis Jennings Dake salvation is characterized by mainly addressing sixty areas. I will attempt to discuss each of these areas. These areas were listed on this blog post on October 13, 2021. Today, I would like to discuss #47 Preservation.

Preservation is a change of assurance, a new security in God.

The following are some scripture verses associated with Preservation:

Psalm 37:28   For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved forever. But the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

Psalm 145:20   The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.

2 Timothy 4:18    And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen

Phil. 1:6     Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

1 Thess. 5:23     And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly: and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 1:5     Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

CONCLUSION

Preservation is a change of assurance, a new security in God. God will preserve all those who love him in spirit, soul, and body.
