When you become born again [renewed in the spirit] you are considered a new creature in Christ [2 Cor. 5:17]. With the change of masters comes a much-needed reprogramming of your mind. In Roman 12:2b it says be transformed by the renewing of your mind. This is as good a place as any to start.
As a believer in Christ, whether new or old, you should prepare yourself for a fantastic journey. You have changed masters, coming from one who had you blinded and on a path leading you straight to hell to one who offers you truth, righteousness, peace, and eternal life. Your new master and Savior Jesus Christ has taken upon himself the sins of the world so you could be reconciled with God and escape perdition.
I congratulate you on having the courage to stop and look at what you were doing and where you were going. I am so glad you realized [like me] there was a better way to live and add value to your life. If all there was to life is what we see around us, we would be in a very bad way.
Being brainwashed for so long, we are in a desperate need to be reprogrammed in order to get back to a state of wellness so we can stand in the presence of and communicate with God. We have to acknowledge and recognize that God’s ways are not only different than ours, but also much higher [and more noble] than our thoughts and ways as the heavens are higher than the earth as written in Isaiah 55:8 and 9. And He has only good thoughts and plans for us[ Jer. 29:11] which will take us from one place to a better place.
Like other things in life, success depends on your knowledge of the game, knowing what is required, playing by the rules, your desire to win, and how well you execute your game plan. We can parallel that analogy in the spiritual world by saying that we may know that there is a God and His Son is Jesus, but that is not enough because it doesn’t reveal the big picture. We should seek to know His commandments and statutes, His will, His covenant with us, and the plan He has for us. We should desire to know Him intimately so that we can eventually become one in thought, purpose, and action. The only way we will accomplish this is by knowing and obeying His word. And Jesus is God’s Word which was manifested in the flesh and walked among us [John 1:14]. And the same Word that co-existed with God the Father from the beginning [John 1:1] and made everything with Him (spoke everything into existence) [John 1:3].
God has made everything available to us through Christ who was His supreme love offering to us. God loved us first. And He did this by extending to us His amazing grace [unmerited favor]. And His Son, our Lord, and Savior Jesus Christ took our place on the cross and wiped our slate clean so that you and I could have eternal life.
It is important for you to know who you are in Christ because that is where your power lies. The following is a list compiled by Trinity Broadcasting Network.

We should suppress all negativity and become possibility thinkers who have a vision for people without vision will perish. We should have the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord with awe which is the beginning of wisdom, can prolong our lives, and open up many other doors.
So, let us praise God and give Him all the glory. He has not only pardoned us, but he has made us His righteousness in Christ [2 Corinthians 5:21], called us His children [Romans 8:16], made us heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus [Romans 8:17] through whom we can do all things [Philippians 4:13]. Let His Word transform and equip us [2 Timothy 3:16,17], and the trials and temptations [He allows us to go through] to prove our faith [James 1:2-4], so that we will be vessels equipped to go out and accomplish His Will according to His purpose and not return to Him void. [Isaiah 55:11]
CONCLUSION
When God’s Holy Spirit convicts us and compels us to give a statement of faith [which some call a sinner’s prayer], confessing that we are sinners, and ask Jesus to be Lord of our lives, and acknowledge that God the Father raised him from the dead, we become born again [in the spirit]. From that point on we are a new creature in Christ and now have a divine nature.
And with this new nature comes a renewing of the mind because the old habits have passed away and the new has come. We now belong to God. We are called sons of God and are now God’s righteousness in Christ. And since Christ is in us, we have the ability to be overcomers and do anything through him. We have to learn and acknowledge who we are in Christ, and trust in God. When we do, we will have unlimited power.
Do you know who you are in Christ? Have you begun to renew your mind?
