A YEARLY STUDY OF SALVATION -JOY

happy woman

In the book, God’s Plan for Man by Finis Jennings Dake salvation is characterized by mainly addressing sixty areas. I will attempt to discuss each of these areas. These areas were listed on this blog post on October 13, 2021. Today, I would like to discuss #32 Joy.

Joy is a change of emotion, a new delight in God.

The following are some scripture verses associated with Joy:

Neh. 8:10    Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry: for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

Psalm 16:11    Thou wilt shew me the path of life; in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

Psalm 51:12    Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation and uphold me with thy free (willing) spirit.

Luke 24:52    And they worshipped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy.

John 15:11    These things have I spoken to you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

1 Peter 1:8,9   Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

Galatians 5:22, 23    But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance; against such there is no law.

CONCLUSION

Joy is a change of emotion, a new delight in God. It is a feeling like no other because you are delighting in God and all he has blessed you with.
