In the book, God’s Plan for Man by Finis Jennings Dake salvation is characterized by mainly addressing sixty areas. I will attempt to discuss each of these areas. These areas were listed on this blog post on October 13, 2021. Today, I would like to discuss #54 Power.
Power is a change in authority, a new power in God.
The following are some scripture verses associated with Power:
Luke 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry (stay) ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall ve witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost (farthest) part of the earth.
Ephesians 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power.
Ephesians 3:19-20And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
(v20) Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.
1 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of sound mind.
Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power; who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil;
For God was with him.
Psalm 66:7 He ruleth by his power for ever hi eyes behold the nations; let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah
Rev. 11:17 Saying, We give thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and art to come, because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
CONCLUSION
Power is a change in authority, a new power in God. We can do nothing until God gives us power through His Holy Spirit. We should wait until we receive this power before we go out and minister.
