In the book, God’s Plan for Man by Finis Jennings Dake salvation is characterized by mainly addressing sixty areas. I will attempt to discuss each of these areas. These areas were listed on this blog post on October 13, 2021. Today, I would like to discuss #56 Destination.
Destination is a change of dwelling, a new home with God.
The following are some scripture verses associated with Destination:
John 14 1-3 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
(v2) In my Father’s house are many mansions if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
(v3) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also.
Hebrews 11:10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
Hebrews 11:13-16 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. Nd truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had the opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
Hebrews 13:14 For here we have no continuing city, but we seek one to come.
Rev. 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
Rev. 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Rev. 22:5 And there shall be no night there and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign forever and ever.
